Hello everyone! We would like to formally introduce ourselves as the new owners of Trot In Time Carriage Tours! We are originally from Niagara, Ontario (15 minutes from Niagara Falls). I suppose you might want to know a bit about us?...
My name is Shay and I am the daughter of the people who bought Trot in Time. I have been riding English for 9 years and have shown on local show circuits, as well as national show circuits. Throughout my childhood I participated in 4-H, mostly showing in hand with miniature horses as well as showing my rabbit in local fairs. When I was 13 I was lucky enough to get a job with our local carriage company as a barn hand. Through learning and growing with them I was able to participate in all aspects of the business (grounds managing, office work, and of course driving the carriages!). I will be taking a gap year, and then attending Dalhousie for Pre-Vet in the fall!
As my parents approach retirement age we have slowly been looking for a new venture... buying a horse carriage business wasn't one of them at first! We initially went to Lunenburg, NS in August of 2021, and fell in love with the atmosphere and most importantly the horses! It seems as though Trot in Time fell into our laps at just the right time and stage of life for all of us.
We are so excited to get out there and be a part of this charming town!
